How to disable "New messages" and "Friend requests" title balloons?

How to disable the “New messages” and “Friend requests” title balloons? It doesn’t completely work when I remove the text in the header.php line 130 section.

I want to keep the notifications. I only want to disable the text balloon (hover- black)
“New messages” and “Friend requests” Is that possible?

Remove the has-tip tip-right and has-tip tip-left classes and the tips will no longer appear
