How to get custom Fontello icons to appear in Visual Composer dropdown lists?

I followed the indications in this page:

Added some new icons from fontello and put them, as suggested in this page, in the kleo/assets folder.
They can be shown in pages, by adding the class directly in html, but in a page designed with Visual Composer (e.g. for the featured item shortcode) they can’t be added because they don’t appear in the list of icons.

Is there any (clean) way to do this in Kleo?

I havent tried this, but I’m guessing you need to follow the instructions you’ve linked, but instead of the /kleo folder, you need to do it in the /plugins/k-elements/assets/font folder.
