How to install the theme updates once they are available?

I received an email saying that there were an update for this theme available. once I click on the (download now) it took me to my download area on the site. I download it as a zip file. Now how do i manage to install the new updated it zip file . if there an import or export way to do it ? so WordPress would not tell me that the file directory already exist?

Hi, On a update you will loose existing theme files and will be replaced by new files. Always make a backup before updating.
You can update automatically from Wp Admin – Dashboard – Updates in you put your TF username and API key in Sweetdate – Miscellaneous

Manual update via FTP can be done, replacing all theme files with the new files downloaded from Themeforest. Theme files must have a style.css inside sweetdate folder(to make sure you are pasting the right files)

Thank you I was able to update the theme via API key. thanks a lot. Now i just need to figure out which changes were made or improved due to the new update. thanks.

your TF username??? where found it?

I mean Themeforest(TF) username. API key is found under your Themeforest account – Settings – API Keys
