How to remove "add to shopping cart" button from thumbnails and product page

Hi.. i want to remove “add to cart button” from the “individual product display page” and “from thumbnails page”.. I have attached the images to explain what i want to be removed.. can you please suggest some easy way to do this.. even hiding these elements using css is fine with me..
