How to setup a local test site ?

We purchased the theme and are exploring all the possibilities. We are using ipage as hosting site and have installed everything. We have however not published the site as we want to make the changes offline/not visible and when it is to our liking. We can not see the changes we are making to the child-theme. Do you know how I can first test it locally before uploading/publishing it online ?

Hello, you can do this using xampp with wordpress installed.
