    I checked over past queries and used this css in my child theme:

    .navbar-nav li > a {
    font-size: 14px;
    }

    However it did nothing for me even when I changed font size! I tried this several times, c & p twice and tried in quick css too…My navigation menu font size refuses to change!

    Hello, do you have a cdn or cache plugin? try to clean cache.
    If not try this
