When a new member clicks on the link in his email, the error message “invalid activation key” appears and requires input of an activation key. The strange thing is that the user can still activate his account by logging in. I need to know how to fix this, as I want the extra security of email confirmation/activation and new users won’t know they can still activate the account by bypassing the key.

RHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionMarch 10, 2017 at 17:08 #155329ElijehParticipantI am using the Sweetdate child theme so don’t know if the issue is there in the default wp theme.
March 10, 2017 at 17:54 #155336RaduModeratorI know that but for the debugging procedure you should test, if you encounter the same issue using a WordPress default theme it means that this issue isn’t related to sweetdate theme and you should ask about that on the buddypress forums, another alternative it’s to disable all plugins excluding buddypress and checking again if still encounter the issue.
Cheers

March 13, 2017 at 19:05 #155527RaduModeratorMaybe it’s a problem between that plugin and buddypress and we cannot fix that’s since it’s not a theme problem, so please test with the plugin activated and the default wordpress theme and see if you encounter same issue

March 22, 2017 at 19:00 #156382RaduModeratorIf you see that with default theme, it means that has nothing to do with KLEO and there it’s a BuddyPress problem or a compatibility issue between BuddyPress and other plugin
Let me know
Cheers
