Kleo, bbPress – recent topics

Been trying to get a decent output for “Recent Topics” and for “Most Popular” topics, tried Kleo Posts and bbPress shortcodes, all is ugly. Any clue how to approach the situation, where and what to edit to customize to show it more minimalistically?

I’d like it to display 5 most popular topics with just a topic name…

I want to display the “Recent Topics” and “Popular Topics” from a forum like a list, similar to this: http://prntscr.com/7s1bwk

But because of KLEO Theme, the default bbPress shortcode to display it will come with all the clutter from KLEO, like shown on the screenshot of the previous post.

Any ideas would be appreciated 🙂
