Hi,
I’m wondering why Kleo Cover Photo for BuddyPress Members & Groups is blowing up images so much. No matter what resolution of an image I use, it’s impossible to keep an original image fully visible as a cover photo. Even a smaller image it’s zoomed in to the extreme.
Is there any way to prevent this?
Thanks,
Romanzy
June 17, 2015 at 11:09 #63377romanzyParticipantThere is also a bug with Cover Photo. When you upload an image, then you can select Center, Top or Bottom.
Once an image is uploaded with for example center, and you then want to change the setting to for example to Top, the cover image is deleted/disappears.
June 17, 2015 at 18:25 #63509sharmstrModeratorThe container responsiveness is doing that. Its by design. You can upload an image that is atleast 1920 x 400, but if you view on a smaller screen you wont see the entire image.
I’m moving this to the bugs forum since I can confirm the photo being deleted when you change the center, top or bottom setting.

I have a Retina Macbook, and even with a resolution of 1920×400, the image is blowing up too much to be good. I understand the issue of responsiveness very well, but at least you must be able to keep an image view of 80%.

its blowing up the cover images to much… i want to keep the original image size…
I want similar function like Facebook have, where you can reposition the picture by clicking the image and dragging it around.
December 30, 2015 at 14:30 #95689AbeKeymasterHi, the image will be stretched to 1440 px probably so your uploaded image should be like that since the background size property is set to cover

Perhaps someone can look at this and come up with a solution??

What does this mean:
“Since the cover functionality is included in Buddypress core since version 2.4, right now having the plugin active will use BP functionality and use the old uploaded image until you upload a new one with the new BP interface. The plugins screens are no longer used if you have BuddyPress greater than 2.4”
January 22, 2016 at 01:23 #99873kentParticipantany new info regarding this??
Is it the Theme or this plugin we need to update? https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-cover-photo/
January 22, 2016 at 09:12 #99913AbeKeymasterthe update is scheduled for this week. Sorry for any delays.
Thanks
