Hi All,
Nice work on releasing the new updates. Some things new I got to learn.
I took me a while to realize I can reuse the portfolio custom post type and I don’t need to add my own. Just as a suggestion, if that display name settings is prominent in somewhere / documentation it would help others to notice it. I thought “portfolio” display name is fixed but in the theme settings you can change it.
Ok now to my actual question. I got the Porfolios displayed and there is also a portfolio category selection enabled. But I saw that those portfolios don’t respect the hierarchy which is what I need. How can I make this functionality ? Please advice.

February 26, 2016 at 05:36 #106802AlamSyedParticipantThanks Laura. Actually I have a slightly connected question. I will be defining a Forum (type category) for my bbpress Forums, in order to avoid duplication of categories, how can I reuse those bbPress forum categories as the categories for my portfolio or my custom post type ? I know you can assign any parent id to your custom post type, but what about the categories of forums ? Some kind of meta values I am assuming needs to be setup.
March 16, 2016 at 03:11 #110902AndreiModeratorHi,
With some custom post types plugin you might be able to modify the taxonomy and attach it to other post types as well, but I don’t recommend using bbPress taxonomy for other post type, not forum related.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Cheers
