Hello, I’m writing on behalf of a client (Royal Surrey Hospital website). I updated to the latest version of the KLEO theme. I had to do this manually via FTP as I couldn’t get the update to work with the Envato Market plugin. I successfully updated the theme via FTP following the steps you outlined in your documentation. The site uses a lot of custom (Kleo) sidebars and after the update these all disappeared and were replaced by the default wordpress sidebar. We are using a child theme. Is there any way to mitigate against this? I have since reverted back to the older theme (V4.3.10).
The site is very large with a large number of pages with customised sidebars so manually re-configuring is not really an option.
Have you seen this sort of thing happen before and is there any way to fix this?
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Phil

Is this because the latest versions of these plugins only work with the latest version of the Kleo Theme?

December 20, 2018 at 17:20 #215595RaduModeratorHi,
From some kleo versions we had make the sidebar functionality into plugin so if you will update to latest theme version, you will have to access wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins -> and install sidebar generator plugin.
It will re-add the sidebar functionality.
Let me know
Cheers

When I go into the Appearence>>install plugins it is not coming up as an installabale plugin-(I have reverted back to Kleo v4.3.10 )
Also can you also give me some information about the K Elements plugin -it seems to remove all padding and margin settings from the website when it is upgraded to the latest version and also I am seeing revolution slider shortcodes appearing on some pages of the website?December 26, 2018 at 12:00 #215705RaduModeratorHi,
I recommend you to have latest theme update installed and then the check the sidebar generator plugin attached.
For the K-elements plugin removed paddings, around 1 year approx a bug was fixed in k-elements and at that time some padding margins was removed and then was needed be re-added, in your case i’m not sure if you hadn’t updated the plugin for approx 1 year.
It may be needed to re-add the paddings and margins in some pages if you had very very very old k-element version.
Cheers
