Kleo updates

I have a possibly dumb question. I have automatic updates turned on. I know the plugins that come with the theme need to be updated separately.

I am using a child theme. I don’t see any update option in my WordPress dashboard. Is that because the update just happened automatically, or is it not happening because I have the child theme? If it’s the latter, how do I update?

No, they dont happen automatically. Make sure you set up your API on themeforest correctly and have added it to Theme Options > Theme Update. This will allow you to be notified in WP Admin of new Kleo updates. You’d still have to click the update button to install. If you have your API key set up correctly on Themeforest and you’ve copied it correctly into theme options, then contact Themeforest. Its their system that does the notification.

I upgraded the theme using the automatic system. Do I still need to upgrade the Kleo-related plugins manually? It looks like that’s a no (and my plugins appear to not be out of date) but I’m reading some things that say you do.

And I’m with you on that other thread – it’s human nature to just go with the more obvious choice, but just because there are more male tech geeks than female ones, it still sucks to have them assume we are guys! I did notice a while back you mentioned you aren’t a ‘he’ in your bio so there’s really no excuse for sirring. 🙂
