Log in after activation page issues

Hi I have a slight problem

When a user activates their account they’re presented with text that says “Your account was activated successfully! You can now log in with the username and password you provided when you signed up.”

If they click the log in link option it takes them to the standard wordpress log in page? Is there a way to stop this?

Also after they log in on the standard wordpress page, they’re taken too a membership level page. Even though I havent created any membership levels?

Is there a way to stop the standard log in page and the membership level page showing?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, you can create a default membership like basic or free so they select it there, and have a redirect that when they go to the wp-login.php page, it takes them to your homepage.
This can be done with several redirection plugins.

Hi thanks for getting back to me.

I’ve ended up removing the activation process with a plugin and redirecting to home page.

I’ve also added a confirm email field using some code I found online. To make sure the right email is entered.
