Log in / Sign up buttons

Good evening, I want to add the log in / sign up buttons on the home page but not in the header. Header is hidden on Home page and I want to move the buttons in a different place. I also do not want to use the  Sweet date register element. I still want to have these buttons on the header once user logins and navigate within the site. How can I do this?

Hello, you could try by using theme my login plugin, it allows you to place login forms at your site and you could place a button at your homepage that redirects to the theme my login page

Thanks Laura for the clarification. Meanwhile I have done something else. I have kept the default log in / sign up buttons as I like how they work and just hide with “if Menu” plugin the menu from the home page.
