Hello,
I hope you are well.
I recently had a email from one of my members complaining that they have subscribed to the website and that when they login they still can not see the pages they want to see. (it still displays as if they have logged out).
I am guessing they are seeing a cached version of the website and need to refresh.
However, for a good user experience this is not ideal. Is there a way (setting) that when users log in it definitely loads a uncached version of the site?
I have the plugins W3 Total Cache and WP-Optimise. I also have Sucuri protecting the website.
Hope this makes sense, let me know if it needs further explanation.

This isn’t an issue with the theme but one of W3 Total Cache. If W3 Total Cache is not serving your cached files properly to logged in and logged out users you should look into an alternate caching plugin.
I believe W3 Total Cache has an option not to cache X pages, you should be able to use that to define any payment pages, groups directory, groups, members directory and member pages.
Thanks,
Kieran

I could’t find that setting, but I did find this option, would this help (disabling it):
Reduce server load and decrease response time by using the cache available in site visitor’s web browser.Browser Cache: Enable
Enable HTTP compression and add headers to reduce server load and decrease file load time.If that doesn’t work. Do you have any recommendations of another cache plugin that will work well with your theme. I don’t want to compromise the speed and I’m sure it was when we added W3 Total cache that made the big difference in speed.
Thank you again for your time.

I don’t think that option is related to the issue you’re facing – but of course do feel free to test, it is important to test all settings thoroughly when setting up caching. For free plugins try WordPress Fastest Cache, Comet Cache, WP Super Cache and for a premium option you may wish to consider WP Rocket.
If your server has Varnish or Redis cache enabled then you will need a plugin with the option to purge these at the same time.
Thanks,
Kieran
