Hello,
This issue might be a little unique.
The Custom Menu login modal, login popup link and facebook login options do not work. Well they do sometimes.
I use the Jonradio multitheme plugin to nicely use both my main Genesis theme and this excellent Kleo theme together. Genesis is set as the ‘base’ theme, and I use Kleo on all my buddypress and woo pages.
But when I am on BP pages, where the Kleo theme is active, the login modal (which pops up from the Login link created in Custom Menu) does not work. It just keeps spinning and spinning with “Sending info, please wait…” Same with the link I add via
<a href="#kleo-login-modal" class="kleo-show-login">Login</a>
and facebook connect also does not function. The standard “(BuddyPress) Login” widget – placed in the same sidebar on the same page – DOES work.
Now, if I change the ‘base’ active theme from Genesis to Kleo, all of the above DO work properly – of course nothing on dozens of other Genesis pages works though (since Genesis is no longer the ‘base’ theme).
Do you have any ideas for me on what might make the Custom Menu login link and the facebook connect feature realize that Kleo IS active for that page and function as intended?
I understand that I could just use the input boxes from the other Login widget instead of the Link, and could likely get some other social login plugin for facebook, but I thought if it was a relatively easy fix I’d like to use the Modal in Kleo.
I know its a little unique, so thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me.
February 10, 2015 at 13:05 #45393sharmstrModeratorHave you inspected the ajax call? Maybe its erroring out.
I’ve purposely not explained this because you seem to know your way around developer tools. If you need some assistance, let me know.

So inspecting ajax calls is above my pay grade. Any pointers you could give as to why it’s not working would be great.
And it would also likely answer my question from over here too: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/kleo-search-form-ajax-and-clear/#post-45328
Thanks so much!
February 13, 2015 at 06:16 #45953sharmstrModeratorUse the developer tools in your browser, specifically the network section that allows you to see all the server calls being made. It will look similar to the image I attached previously.

August 5, 2015 at 17:03 #71733znoletteParticipantHey, I’m having the same issue on my site. It keeps spinning. I’ve found that it DOES work in the sense that I am logged in even though it never tells me. I’m getting a good response from the AJAX call. Any ideas?
August 5, 2015 at 17:52 #71751sharmstrModeratorI think there’s an issue with object caching. Does that pertain to you?

August 5, 2015 at 18:35 #71762znoletteParticipantYeah, I’m using ZenCache on the site. What’s the problem? Do you know of a solution or even just the underlying issue that I can look into myself?
It’s just weird that the POST request is sent, a successful response is received, but the AJAX function doesn’t seem to receive the success message that it needs in order to move on.
August 6, 2015 at 13:28 #71920sharmstrModeratorI honestly dont know much about it. I just recall seeing that object caching was an issue. Does this topic offer any insight? https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/ajax-login-not-working-with-cache
