When users try to login it takes them to a blank white page wp-login.php. This just started happening and I am not sure why. I was also not able to login to wp-admin (also blank white). I renamed the sweet date theme and it allowed me in again but of course did not show the theme. What am I doing wrong here? I do not use any custom login plugin.

You should enable debugging by setting WP_DEBUG to TRUE in wp-config.php
