Logo will not change size

Hi,

When I add my logo in Sweetdate ‘General’ settings, it will not get smaller on my home page no matter how much I crop the original picture in the Media settings area.  All it does is make it the same size, but the image quality gets worse the more it is cropped.  My logo is showing way too large on my site, and I want to make it appear smaller.  The original logo is square and 260X260.  I know it is not recommended to be square but there is no way I can change that, since that is how my logo was designed.
