My server requires sFTP and does not allow the FTP SSL WordPress access to install the Revolution Slider and Visual Composer plugins from within WordPress admin. How can I install the plugins manually using a sFTP client? The plugins were not part of the Envato download. Where can I download the plugins?
I’m just a user of Kleo but I saw your post and thought I would suggest this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/ssh-sftp-updater-support/
Might be worth a try, but I would honestly make a back up first considering what it may (or may not) edit in the core WordPress files. However it does have a very good reviews.
Obviously you’d have to download it yourself and upload it into wp-content > plugins.
Kieran- Thanks for the tip. I installed the plugin and could auto-install the Revolution Slider and Visual Composer via sFTP. For reference, I am using Rackspace cloud for hosting.
