Media Library Don't Load

Hi,

I deactivated all plugins. Turn on WordPress Deafult Theme and there is Media showing.
After I switch to Kleo Theme with all the plugins deactivated, Media don’t load on grid view (circle spinning) , but shows on a list. If I want to upload new file, there is error when uploading to server.

Ok, Problem is with Kleo Child. i will check functions…

I don’t know what is the issu, I deleted all the functions and cleared style css and nothing.

When I delete functions.php it works. Can someone send me a default file ?

Id doesn’t work even if the file is empty. It works only if I delete it

This is really strange. What do you know about the one click child theme plugin you had enabled. Did it perhaps save something to the database that’s screwing it up? Because like you say, Kleo parent theme is fine, but the child theme is having issues. If I do a source code comparison of the materials page between the parent and child theme, both are the same.

I am not a specialist. It was all working fine for couple months, it broke recently.

What changed recently?

The issue is with jquery, though I’m unable to determine why. The media loader uses jquery. The issues you’re having on the material design page has to do with animations which use jquery. I dont understand why it works with the Kleo parent theme and not the child theme. I’ve tried everything I know to fix it. I’ve enabled debugging and its not pointing me to any issues.

My suggestion now is to run the parent theme until one of the 7th queen developers can look into this.

Or run it without the functions file so you dont have to re-do your theme options.

@andrei – Can you take a look at this one? Its strange.

The client has a ton of plugins so not sure if there was some sort of db corruption. But here’s the basics

1 – Site works fine with Kleo parent theme enabled.
2 – Site has jquery issues with Kleo child theme enabled. There is nothing in the child theme at this moment. There are no jquery errors being reported, but kleo animations are failing on front end and wp media is failing on the backend. I’ve disabled all plugins, delete caching directory, resaved theme options. Not sure what else to do at this point. The client did have a plugin called One Click Child theme. I dont know anything about this plugin but it might have caused issues. Perhaps something in the db.

@andrei – forgot to mention that Kleo is up-to-date as well as the required plugins.

@szmek9 – I’ve enabled most plugins that we active when I logged in. Please go through them and active the ones you want.

I have plugin wp db booster does it help in any way? I have many functions from support orver the months so I can’t work without functions.php. I also have a backup of database from 05-02 can I simply replace the current one ?

Thank You all for willing to help me. I don’t know if it helps in any way but loco translate gives me a Syntax Error when I am trying to translate anything.

I observed that is not just media library but generally in most of the situations where the circle of loading shows.

I solved it !!!!!! It was beceause I overridden functions php in Notepad and it was normal UTF. After I resaved it with UTF without BOM it works again !!!!

Hi @szmek9, @sharmstr, sorry for the late reply, the thing is that the functions.php file doesn’t need to have any empty spaces into it, maybe just a php starting tag and an empty comment should work, happened to me before as well.
