Megamenu issues

Hi, trying to get megamenu working but having issues….  see screenshots.  It’s producing the X in the menu for submenus, but I click and hover and nothing seems to happen?

It wont work in the top menu. Only in the main menu.

any idea offhand if things like ubermenu work the same way?
