Membership options

What I’m wishing to achieve is as follows;
1) Membership Level 1 have access to Category 1 ( one time lifetime subscription)
2) Membership Level 2 have access to Category 2 ( one time lifetime subscription)
3) Membership Level 3 have access to Category 3 ( one time lifetime subscription)
4) Platinum Membership UPGRADE level have access to ALL social features – add group, PM, add friends etc ( requires annual subscriptions )

Now, here’s the use cases;
User 1 subscribes to Membership Level 1 decides to upgrade to Platinum Membership – hence he/she will have access to Category 1 as well as all social features, and he can only talk/communicate with users who are subscribe to Membership Level 1 as well as Platinum membership

User 2 subscribes to Membership Level 1 and Level 2 – hence will only have access to Category 1 and Category 2 articles

User 3 subscribes to Membership Level 1 & Level 2 as well as Platinum Membership – hence will have access to Category 1 and Category 2 articles as well as communicate with other Platinum users who subscribe to either Membership Level 1, 2 or both.

Is the above possible?

To be honest, you’re probably better off asking the people who wrote the plugin. Unfortunately, you have to pay for their support. So what I would do is send them a pre-sales question: http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/contact/ to see if its even possible to do what you want without any custom coding. Kleo gives you some basic blocking of buddypress, but that’s about it.

With that said, personally I havent had a need to use PM Pro on any of my sites so I dont know much beyond the basics. I’ve been meaning to dig into it more, so this might be a good opportunity for me to learn more about it. If they respond saying it possible without any custom code, let me know and I’ll see if I can help.

Actually, based on what knowledge I do have of PM Pro, you’re going to have to custom code the buddypress stuff.
