Hi, I have an issue re memory limit that is causing slo page loading times. I’d like to first mention that my site is on a dedicated server with Rackspace in which I have full control of setting the php memory limit. I have changed the allowed php memory limit several times, I have even had support over at Rackspace check to make sure that the php memory limit is correct. It is currently set at 256MB.
I have the Query Monitor and WP Page Load Stats plugins added and I am seeing an average of 130MB of 30MB used on my server.
I also consulted with the WPBakery support and here is what they said:
The issue is because there is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.
Any ideas on what they’re referring to? What code would cause this in the theme?
I would also like to mention that this all started when I enabled bbpress and buddypress.
Any help would be gladly appreciated, thanks
February 14, 2017 at 09:26 #152961AbeKeymasterHi, I don’t think this is related to visual composer or our theme. This happens on admin only or in frontend? Memory consumed is strictly related to php code but that doesn’t necessarily mean the page with load slow.

Why would WPbakery tell me this then:
