Messages and Notifications email formats

Hello, in regards to email notifications on the Dashboard>Emails, the past several months I haven’t received emails with the same formatting that the theme has set up.

I only receive in texts formats. So this is all Emails in the Dashboard that relates to New Messages, Notifications, Mentions, Groups, etc. that would get sent to the User.

I haven’t changed anything in regards to my own gmail settings either.

I use to get them like the attachment below, which I see at the Dashboard when viewing format.

Hello, before anything, please try deactivating other plugins that could be affecting the emails, test again and if it doesnt resolve it let me know to take a deeper look 🙂

Hi I have removed all plugins aside from those that are required by the theme, please also note that this was ongoing before we added anything to the child theme. I just had other issues to attend to before being able to get to this.

Also for Side Bars under Dashboard>Emails:

“Please select the sidebar you would like to display on this page. Note: You must first create the sidebar under Appearance > Sidebars.”

I created a sidebar to use and selected it in the drop down menu and it doesn’t work either. None of the selections work.

Hello, you cannot select a sidebar to add to an email, emails are sent in html or text format, nothing is in php so that is not possible.

Hello, the url is for the original issue, it should guide you to style emails. If your emails changed format it could be related to a plugin that is overriding buddypress emails, if you do changes at the email style it should take effect at new emails

Since the 2.0 update the emails have all been text format, not like the above example image I attached which I launched to view in Dashboard>Emails. The site has been worked on for months without plugins activated and I’ve never received an email with that format since.

Sidebar doesn’t work in the Dashboard>Posts for Blogs either. So if one where to use say media.net for ads which adds a widget, it seems to not create that option. I’ve tested with the current widgets I’n using now, about us, who’s online, etc.

If you switch the theme to other one like default wp theme ? you receive the emails the same ? plain text ? Anyway we have not changed anything related the the mail workflow
