minimized registration page

hi there… is it possible to have a mini registration page that simply ask for name , email, city and state (so that registration is faster)- they click submit and they finish registering through email.. then they have the option to finish filling in the requested profile information after registration or later. How can I make this happen???

ps. maybe i can also add a profile completion bar showing when their profile completion status – please advise. thanks

You can choose which fields to have on the registration form by putting them in the “Base (primary)” field group. Put all the other fields in a separate group. https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/guides/modifying-the-registration-form/

There is no built in mini form that you can stick on your homepage or elsewhere.

There’s no built in way to a profile completion bar.
