Mobile Slider Not Working on Non-iPhones

So I’ve followed the advice given to me to use the below to create a mobile version of my front page slider without the video so mobile devices can load it. Great. It works … only on iphones. On my Samsung Galaxy it doesn’t show. Any advice?

I did the alternative option at the bottom as well when things stopped working. Nothing seems to fix it of the options there.

I’m using http://mobiletest.me/ and actually now it seems none of them have the slider working now.

I’m very confused as to what I’m doing wrong. I’ll post login information as well in a private response because I suspect that will be your next question.

Hello, i’m trying to solve this, i have disabled your changes on home slider settings and deleted the second slider at homepage. I need the slider to show with video on mobile so i can start working on it. Could you tell me what else have you changed ?
I know that you added Custom Javascripts and CSS in Slider settings.
Anything else? 🙂

No that was all I did was follow those directions. Everything else was standard. My only goal was to set it up so there was an alternate slider for mobile browsers since the video wasn’t loading well for many mobile platforms.

Ah, I see what happened. For some reason when I posted the info it added a, http:// to the ftp host. Remove that and it should work fine. I just tested it and it was working fine. Not sure why it added an http://. So weird.

Not sure what to tell you. I just a minute ago from posting this logged in just fine with that exact information, copy and pasted. What program are you using for your FTP? Maybe I can try to replicate the problem. Alternatively I can post whatever CSS file you need here I suppose. I mean the FTP is working so… weird.

I mean I get an “unknown certificate” error, because we don’t have ssl on teh website, but it goes through just fine when I click “ok.”

Since I do not know what CDN is, I don’t believe we have that. And no, no new plugins added. This problem has, as far as I know, existed since the beginning. (Video was never loading properly on mobile devices, I just recently found out there was a work around in setting up a secondary slider to show up on mobile devices.) This is a brand new website.

Hello, for testing with a new slider i will need to download the video and upload it to your server so it loads directly from your server and not youtube, are you ok with this? 🙂
