perhaps its a plugin conflict. disable the plugins except bbpress, buddypress, kelements and visual composer. check your widgets. if they are all there, enable the rest of the plugins one by one, checking the widgets each time.

Thank you for the tip. Yes, I could isolate the plugin. It’s called “BuddyPress for Visual Composer” and the developer already works on an update as you can read here:

I came from a Magento environment as well. You have some learning to do that has nothing to do with Kleo 🙂

For example, this issue had nothing to do with Kleo. You can easily test where to start looking (or I should say, if you need to look at kleo) by temporarily enabling the WP 2015 theme. If you have the same issue you need to look elsewhere. I’ve been helping 7th queen for over a year now and I still use google as my number 1 source to figure out how to fix peoples issues.

It’s good to have somebody around that already went through most of the problems. So thank you for being there and answering all the questions. Part of the problem is probably that the WP-platform develops much faster than anybody would have reasonably expected and therefore documentation lags always a lot behind. It would be helpful though when the theme developres would clearly state what the theme is doing or adding to standard WP so one would not have to change themes all the time to find out.
