Move Search to Top bar

Hi. I would like to move the search bar from the main menu to the top bar. Is it possible?

I tried adding the “search-trigger” class to a menu item but it did not work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Radu. Thanks for your reply.I added the code to the functions file, but nothing happened. I ATTACHED A SCREENSHOT OF HOW I set up the menu. Maybe i am missing something. Should i deactivate it from the Main menu? Should i do anything else after adding the code?

Hey Radu. For some reason, on mobile, the search field is open without clicking the search icon. It is always open. I need it to work like in the other screen sizes.

Yes, that’s because it was designed to work in main menu not in top menu, in normal position this search are expanded when you are on mobile… and for adapting for what you need it requires dedicated time… i hope you understand.

Yes Radu. No problem. I solved the problem by adding max width to profile name in Main menu. Now nothing moves. It was cleaner the other way. Wich is why i asked. But i understand. Thanks a lot for the help anyways. 🙂
