My menu is not showing properly

I created a new primary menu, but it is not showing as I was expecting like in the demo. This is how it shows, with menu directly following the logo aligned on the left not from the rigth.

 

In addition, items in a menu do not show when clicking on the menu like my account or Communities

 

Please help.
