Hi, so want to use the custom group types I have created but the only way I can see them is with this group type search plugin and as you can see from the second image the result when searching messes up the style of your plugin.
It would really be awesome to simply be able to add the new group type to the built in drop down of the groups filter. Can you help?

Copy this file wp-content/themes/kleo/buddypress/groups/index.php to wp-content/themes/kleo-child/buddypress/groups/index.php
Add as many options you need

Mark as a solutionApril 17, 2017 at 15:21 #158665cfresqueParticipantsorry but “wp-content/themes/kleo-child/buddypress/groups/” folder does not exist. Its just the couple files in the child theme, should I make all those folders in there? Like its a directional thing?

The group types cannot be easily added there, I’ve tried but I cannot see any quick solution for that.
You can try to make a list of links for every group type in goup page or where you need and show it as menu type.Links example :
http://localhost/kleo/groups/type/vips/
http://localhost/kleo/groups/type/default/If you cannot handle that I recommend you to hire a developer to help you, since those are not theme problems.
Cheers

I would be making links where? Like for a widget for some kind of side menu?
May 11, 2017 at 20:39 #161107RaduModeratorWhere you need in your case in the BuddyPress group page to see all group types, BuddyPress doesn’t pull all group types to list them into a navigation, this should be made custom or to be added to that filter.
No quick solution for that, from what I see you ask development things and our support covers only small modifications and product questions.
