News Widget crash the theme?!

Hi,

 

there is a big issue/bug with the new update.

 

When the WordPress pages have News widgets like News Focus or News Highlight, the theme crashes and shows an empty page on frontend

I need these News widgets for my site. Could you please help me or fix this?

Did you update k-elements, vc and revslider as well (appearance > install plugins)? Those elements work fine on my 3.9 sites.

I downloaded it from themeforest again today. WordPress doesnt show me any update notifications

Along with Kleo, you should have updated K-elements, VC and Revslider. You can do that by going to WP Admin > Appearance > Install Plugins (not to be confused with wp admin > plugins)

I tried to do that. But still the same problem. I uploaded the plugins separately via ftp but still the same issue. Would you like to have a look at it? I could give you my logins

Its a conflict with Geodir advanced search. Going to assign this to the developer who handles geo directory integration.

Hey Andrei, can you take a look into this. Kleo 3.9, K-Elements 4.0. News shortcodes cause a “geodir_advanced_search_js_msg is not defined” error. I’ve set up a test page for you to look at. See clients url above. Test page is at /news-test. Thank you.

Hi,

I’ve given a quick look and the javascript error generated by the geo directory advanced search addon is the one that breaks the rest of theme functionality, not otherwise.

The error breaks all further javascript functionalities that try to initiate after that error and the error even persists if you change to a wordpress default theme, that’s to demonstrate the issue doesn’t come from our theme.

I would strongly suggest you to contact GeoDirectory support, they should be able to help you.
