Hello,
I do have a question I would like to have an answer to:
Why do some new registered users end up at the list at Users > Manage Registrations? (I did ask this question long ago, but the only answer I got was that I could activate them)
Yesterday I got an email from a user who didn’t get any activation email, and I found this user at this Manage Registrations list. So, the users who don’t get an activation link email are the ones who are on the Manage Registrations page?? Correct? For what reason do they not get an activation email / stays at the Manage Registrations page?
Would be greatful for an answer 🙂

The manage registration screen is where pending users are stored until they activate and log into their accounts. This is a BuddyPress anti-spam measure for handling user registrations.
Once a user has activated and logged into their account the user record is stored in the standard users screen as opposed to the manage registrations screen. Any user who remains in the manage registrations screen has yet to activate their account.
It is very unlikely that your site did not process sending the activation email – especially if others are receiving them. It is far more likely that either it was sent to their spam folder, rejected by the mail client or never left the server. You will need to look into your server mail logs to confirm emails are leaving the server and if they are being returned or delivered – which in both cases is a hosting / email issue.
Thanks,
Kieran

When you click the manual activation it carries out the same actions as the user clicking the activation link from within their email. I do not believe a secondary email is sent when an admin manually activates a user.
