No excerpts in Kleo Post grid

I’d like to display the excerpts as here: http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/pinterest/

Please see the attached file the ‘show excerpts’ is checked. But I don’t see them being displayed.
Can you please advise how to display them?

Its because those posts were built with VC. The VC code to build those posts is the issue. Add a custom excerpt, which will display.
