I’ve seen this problem reported elsewhere, but the solution offered there hasn’t worked for my problems. I originally added to the previous post: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/404-error-after-update

If I do the pretty permalinks and try to set it to anything other than default, almost all pages except the home page come back as Not Found – 404.

    “Not Found

The requested URL /members-masonry/ was not found on this server.

    Apache/2.4.9 (Win32) PHP/5.5.12 Server at localhost Port 80″

If I leave it at default, I can get to some of the pages, but when I click on a particular user, I still get the Not Found error.

Saving and changing the Permalink options don’t do anything.

I’m running the site on a local server, so the domain listed below won’t work. I’m building it locally or I’d be happy to provide login information and such.

After disabling all of the plugins one by one, and then changing the theme to one of the default WordPress themes I realized I still had the same problem.

    I found the solution here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-fix-permalink-postname-404-not-found?replies=9

The long and short of it was that my Apache server wasn’t running the rewrite_module. Once I activated that module the base theme worked. I activated plugins and changed the theme back to Kleo and everything is working now.
