Hello,
This is happening after making site private. I think this has something to do with “Restrict My site”, but after removing plugin folder, site is still not working.
Thanks for your help.

Wordpress address (http:localhost/buddypress/bp) and site (http:localhost/buddypress) settings are correct, no www there whatsoever.
Buddyapp is redirectinghttp://localhost/buddypress
tohttp://www.localhost.com/buddypress/
My guess is that “Restrict My Site” is creating this behaviour, dont know where those “www” come from. This is a crucial project for me, thanks in advance for the support,
JavierMarch 18, 2016 at 01:57 #111416javierllinasParticipantHello again:
The www is being added by Firefox when it can’t load the site.
My problem (big problem) is that I cannot work on localhost. I have lots of programming and customization to do.
I provide a screenshot (Chrome now).
I’m using Wamp and Xampp: no success in both cases.Attachments:

March 18, 2016 at 14:35 #111515javierllinasParticipantHello,
After a faily ammount of time I came to the conclusion that my local server is not capable of processing a WP site with so many plugins (I myself am a developer, I always try to make my themes lightweight so this has never happened to me). You can ignore the above.
By the way, is php7 tested?
Another thing is that I’m going to build a child theme and I want to customize and optimize everything (get rid of functionalities, js and css we dont need): please tell me if you can help me with this kind of this.
As I’m a developer I’d prefer not to use ‘Visual Composers’ and this kind of things that add lots of code in order to work.Thank you in advance,
JMarch 18, 2016 at 18:45 #111604RaduModeratorHi,

My guess is that is your web server is not even working

@ SeventhQueen we do our best to have super happy customers. Thanks for being our customer.March 20, 2016 at 15:04 #111853javierllinasParticipantThanks for the feedback, Abe.
I have 24 more WordPress installations in my Wamp (mostly custom made client themes) and they’re working fine. Also, if I switch back to Twenty Sixteen, and leave all plugins active, DNS resolve correctly.
What I have to do in order to make DNS resolve properly with BuddyApp is deactivate BuddyPress and reactivate it. My guess, as I said before, is that my Wamp/Xampp (tried both) cannot handle Kleo’s Framework + BuddyPress, if that makes any sense: may be lack of memory, php version (5.5.12) performance, security issues… don’t know. I’d appreciate any clarification but is a limitation of mine and I wont bother you again on this. Also, I wanted to know if you can help me with this: I plan to build a child theme where I’d like to remove what we won’t need, is it ok if I eventually ask you ‘where is this style/script registered’, ‘is it safe to unregister that’?
I´d specially want to get rid of those page-builders and visual composers and tweak/code the templates.Thank you for your time and work.
Kind Regards,
JMarch 22, 2016 at 20:58 #112256AndreiModeratorHi
The “Restrict my site” plugin uses wp built in functions for processing urls so the extra www is not added by it. It is surely a misconfiguration somewhere in your wp settings but unfortunately due to your local environment I can’t give a look and debug what’s happening. Please also try to check if by somehow your .htaccess file was modified, forcing a www. prefix.
We can give you some answers for some basic guidance in customisations when you need them, but we don’t offer support for such things and of course, they are not a priority in our tickets response queue.
Cheers
