Notification Icon – What for?

Hello,

What other event does the notification section cover but the arrival of messages? We wonder if we could just make the section invisible. We do not really see the use for it. People are confused when they receive a notification of a message of a user we deleted (spam etc). After profile deletion the notification is still there but the message is gone.

Or do you have like buttons for profiles that could appear on notifications as well? Or any other action that would appear in notification besides messages?

Hi,

The notification bubble at the top of the menu item is an overall count of activity, messages and friend request notifications. If you would like to hide this element you can add the below CSS to your child theme’s style.css or to theme options.
