    Hello

I recently contacted my hosting company about a slow site and constant 508 errors. They looked into the issue and mentioned this:

I have been running some tests on the site and everything server side looks correct, I have noticed that your theme is calling http://crpc.org.uk/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=kleo_bp_notifications_refresh&current= every second and cause the resource usage warning and the site loading very slowly.

I have tried disabling this feature which is called Live Notifications interval and even changing the time this function runs to 3 hours but this settings doesn’t appear to have any effect, I would contact the theme developers and ask theme why this setting isn’t taking effect and if there is an alternative way to change the time on this request.

This site won’t actually need the use of buddypress or social areas or notifications. What we want is simply a membership for paid members to access which will give them extra info to view. Is there a way to remove the notifications? If not, maybe a simple on/off area in the theme options may be good for the future as this is a very big theme to suit all sorts and some will be like me and not need this.

The site is http://www.crpc.org.uk/clientview (to bypass coming soon page).

Looking forward to hearing back, thanks!

    Hello,

You can disable live notifications by navigating to WP-Admin -> Theme Options -> Buddypress -> Live notifications Interval = SET 0

    Cheers

    Replace this files : /kleo/wp-content/themes/kleo/assets/js/app.js
    And this file : /kleo/wp-content/themes/kleo/assets/js/app.min.js

With the files from attached archive.

    Sorry for inconvenience.

Let me know if it works.
