ParticipantDear Support,
The purpose of my website is to present some gastronomic products and I would like to have one column blog with the “masonry post design” so that the users can focus on one product at a time.
I would like to setup the masonry style but in the settings it only allow me to set minimum 2 column blog.
I’ve bought the KLEO template because I like the animations and the style of the masonry blog so it’s important for me to be able to set it up with one column.
Could you please tell me how can setup the masonry style to have one column?
This is really important for me general look and feel of the Deliscovery.com project.
Thank you very much.
With regards,
ErikJuly 6, 2017 at 19:06 #166541Laura

ParticipantHi Laura,
Thank you for this.. but in fact it’s creating a kind of a bug (look at the screen attached 😉
As this method looks a bit unstable I think it would preferable to finally use the “standard blog” setting and then design it as close as possible to the masonry style.
I’ve now setup the “standard blog” blog on my website.. could you please help me to set the design to look like the masonry style?
Thank you very much!

ParticipantThank you very much, very kind Laura 🙂
Last little question on this.. if I want to change the order of the elements on the posts (title, features image, author, avatar).. can I do it via css or I have to do it within the php code..
For example, if I want to put the author and the post title before the featured image? 🙂
Cheers,
ErikJuly 10, 2017 at 05:20 #166864Laura
ModeratorHello 🙂 that would need some custom development, with css it could end being a bit messy

ParticipantOk many thanks 🙂
I think I’ll try to do some custom development myself as I’ve some basic knowledges in php..
Do not hesitate to send me some links if you know some good tutorials to learn how to re-design the posts properly.. I’ll also try somme Google search about that 😉

ModeratorHello 🙂 This shows how to create custom page template http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-create-a-custom-page-in-wordpress/ it could be a good start to understand how the page templates are created.
But what you are looking for is the masonry element, so you would need to check archive.php and page-parts/post-content-masonry.php

ParticipantOk, yes sure I’ll think about the five stars 🙂
I’ve two questions:
– How can I contact your services if I need a custom development and what are your pricings?
– In order to make some test I would like to use a test website with the KLEO theme installed.. can I do that without having to pay an extra licence? 🙂

ModeratorHello, for the custom developments you could contact our dev team at dev@seventhqueen.com or me at laura@seventhqueen.com
About the test website, you could use a local install for testing 🙂

ParticipantOk thanks 🙂 in the following days I’ll prepare an email with the details of the customisation and I’ll send them to these emails.
About the other point, in fact I would need an “online testing website” because the idea is to collaborate with some partners (who are living in other countries) and make some test on the KLEO platform without touching to the main website.
I can protect the test website with an htaccess password to that you are sure that I’m only using it for research and development purpose. 🙂
Please would it be possible for me to do that?
July 17, 2017 at 16:01 #167692Laura
ModeratorHello, if the access is restricted and is just for testing you can use it 🙂
