Optimizing the wesites load time

Hi there,

Ive installed and set up the theme. Ive got installed the W3 Total Cache in combination with MaxCDN. MaxCDN made a huge difference, but Im still facing issues.

I tried the minify, which turned out to not be a good solution. Turned it off now but still do not see the small icons. How do I solve that?

As well, from the pingdom.com test I see that: admin-ajax.php is taking a long time to load! How to solve that?

Any external software or online service for optimizing background images for the site?

Hello, admin-ajax.php is something needed for wordpress to work fine. But you can disable the heartbeat of wordpress to make it load faster. This may help you https://wordpress.org/plugins/heartbeat-control/

To speed your wordpress, use
– W3 Total Cache guide http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/configuring-w3-total-cache-general-settings-i–cms-20920
DO NOT ENABLE MINIFY

– Use a CDN ( Cloudflare, MAXCDN…)

– Use “Remove query strings from static resources” plugin

– Use an image optimizer plugin like Smush it

– Use a Lazy load plugin

I have seen that suggestion of yours in an other topic.

How about the font icons that do not show anymore?

Will test the rest of the plugins you suggest but the idea is to have as few plugins as possible!!!

Hello, about the font icons, please contact maxcdn because maybe they didnt add font awesome, they did add it for me once i started using it in my website, so it may be that 🙂
