Page Background Color

Would you please advise how I may change the colour of the light grey background? I have tried changing “Background Color” In Styling Options > Main but this did not do anything.

I do not have the child theme activated. Is this why?

    background-image: url("IMAGE URL") !important;
}

Or page color

    background-color:black !important;
}

Hello.

Thank you for that but it didnt work. I pasted in Quick CSS. Then I activated Child theme and added it to Style.css and that didnt work either. And then I tried Quick CSS and nothing.

WOuld you have any other ideas please?

I want to keep the white background in the boxed content but make the overall site background dark blue. I am confused by your terminology. How do I change just this one color? I have a GIF I can use. The site is http://www.writeononline.com Thanks!

Just explain this one thing. I want the a white box with the content and the blue (above) as the site background.

The control panel confuses me.
