Any idea why I receive this message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&&’ (T_BOOLEAN_AND), expecting ‘)’ in public_html/wp-content/themes/_kleo/lib/importer/import.php on line 1259
I just tried to update to Kleo 2.0, from Kleo 4.1.7.
I have turned off all plugins, and ended up restoring Kleo 4.1.7 to get the site back online.
Many thanks,
March 21, 2017 at 01:40 #156174AbeKeymasterHello, sorry for any trouble caused, this seems to be caused by a line of code and a specific PHP version. You need to re-download the theme from Themeforest and manually update over FTP. Here is more info about updating over FTP https://archived.seventhqueen.com/kleo/article/updating-the-theme
You can update the whole theme folder or just wp-content/themes/kleo/lib/importer/import.php which is the file causing that error.
Let me know if you need more guidance.
Cheers

Unfortunately, that link is exactly what I did when I updated the theme.
I never auto-update a theme.
I removed (backed-up) the old theme folder, and uploaded a brand new version of the ‘kleo’ folder and contents.
I will try again, but it will be the third – complete removal and manual FTP – upload.
Is there particular PHP version it doesn’t agree with?
Perhaps you might have another thought on the matter?
Kind regards,

Thank you so much for your support.
I have repeated the steps you mentioned.
I completely removed the folder(s), and uploaded a fresh download from Themeforest.
I left the child theme in the folder.
This seems to have worked!
I’m probably an idiot, or I’d would rather like to think the download from Themeforest was corrupt?
Probably the former!
Thanks for your help.
Kindest regards,
March 22, 2017 at 10:50 #156333AbeKeymasterGlad to hear it works. There was a problematic file that was updated after about 4 hours from the initial 4.2 update and re-downloading the package fixed that.
All the best
