I am looking to invoke the Login modal from abutton I put on my homepage,what would be the syntax to pop-up the login modal from the button? Thank you.

Thanks but where do I insert the code and what is the href value?

As in the example, use a # for the href.

It depends on where you want the button to be. The example is a shortcode you put in a text field.
