Pop Up Profile Picture Larger When Clicked

For transencounters.com , would it be possible to go to a users profile, and when you click on the profile photo, it brings up a closer image of the actual photo?

So in otherwords, if you go to a users profile and click media –> then click on a photo, the smaller photo then pops up into a bigger photo upon being clicked. So I was just wondering if there is a way to replicate that same concept and apply it to the main profile photo. (at the moment, when you click the users main profile photo it simply takes you to the users “activity”)
