Hi there – recently activated the portfolio plugin but the page looks crazy:
http://www.upcycling.xyz/upcycling-portfolio/
Any idea why or how to make this look pretty again?
Do I need to add a demo page or something?
Thanks in advance,
Neil
December 1, 2015 at 18:36 #90362sharmstrModeratorGet Kleo and VC up-to-date.
Though it wasnt causing the issue, you did have custom page enabled, but didnt set a page. For now, I disabled it and the portfolio archive is displaying correctly (ish).
As far as updating goes, you aren’t receiving auto update notifications because you are on an old version of Kleo that doesnt work with a change that Themeforest made. You’ll have to update via FTP. Once you do that, you’ll start receiving notifications again and wont have to FTP updates. https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/steps-to-update-kleo-theme

December 4, 2015 at 13:13 #91148neilersParticipantHi @sharmstr – i had this working before but this is perplexing me now all of a sudden cos it still looks wrong. I still see only code.
I added a portfolio demo page http://www.upcycling.xyz/portfolio-fullwidth-overlay/ which looks good until I set this as my portfolio page in settings > buddypress > pages – then it goes all crazy and just displays the code as previously. Im probably missing something obvious here?
I updated Kleo earlier today also.
Thanks

December 4, 2015 at 16:09 #91188neilersParticipantNo it hasn’t resolved it – everything is up to date now!
It looks horrible still:

December 4, 2015 at 16:41 #91196sharmstrModeratorGood. Now look for plugin conflicts.
Couple of things to check. Your google tag code is throwing errors and so is buddypress portfolio. I’m not too concerned with bp portfolio, but I am with the google tag code since its jquery and vc and kleo need clean (error free) jquery.

December 4, 2015 at 18:06 #91220neilersParticipantThe only search form being used is the Kleo one. I disabled google tags, i wasn’t serving ads anyway at present.
You think the issue is with BP Portfolio itself?
December 4, 2015 at 18:10 #91224sharmstrModeratorI know it is. I disabled it and everything worked again. That plugin was adding the search form to the the portfolio page which was screwing everything up.

December 4, 2015 at 18:31 #91241neilersParticipantSo whats the next step? Is BP Portfolio incompatible with my site?
December 4, 2015 at 18:52 #91249sharmstrModeratorIt is as it stands now. Perhaps ask the developer how to remove the portfolio search from Kleo’s portfolio directory. My guess is that there is a conflict between the portfolio post types. Kleo has one and so does that plugin. The plugin probably thinks it needs to add the search on the kleo directory because of the “portfolio” name.
