Portfolio Videos Thumbnail – how to show image and not video

Hi

My portfolio is full of videos, and I want the thumbnail on the main portofolio page gallery to show the video thumbnail (or feature image), and not the video player embed.

Is that possible?

Hi Radu, how is it going?
Hmmm got it.
Because it looks really bad now, with a lot of video players instead of thumbnails.
It would be so much better if it could get the youtube thumbnail and save in WordPress media folder.

Can’t we use a work around? Like the self-hosted video, using a poster image?
So it shows the poster image in the Portfolio gallery page, but the player when in the portfolio item page.
