Hi, it looks like a something silly bit I can’t figure it out. Maybe my brain really slows when it’s 2 am in the morning.
Here is the thing:
– this post is from the demo content that I imported: http://highwayliberty.com/unrevealed-shortcodes/ and it looks perfectly ok
– this is the post I created myself – http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/ . As you can see it is different from the one above. No social sharing, no related posts, no metadata on the left side.Settings seem to be the same.
June 12, 2015 at 15:10 #62356RaduModeratorHi,
Ive tried to identify whats caused the problem, but unsuccessful.
But i deleted that post, and i created again and it seems to work.
http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/
Cheers.
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionJune 12, 2015 at 17:32 #62389ellosParticipantWe have a serious issue here. I’ve deleted to old post, created a new one http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/
And it still looks not like others.
I’m about to buy another Kleo license for this project (I’m using a previous license for pilot installation) – and I won’t be able to do that if things work like this. Thanks
Elijah.June 12, 2015 at 17:34 #62390ellosParticipantAnd when thhe new post is created, you hit publish and then Preview – it often times gives 404 page cannot be displayed error.
It is not the hosting, since I’m using the same hosting (WP Engine) for all my client installs and never had issues like this.Thanks.
Elijah.June 12, 2015 at 17:43 #62396AbeKeymasterHi, that is related to the way you configured your options in Theme options – Blog – Meta settings. Do a section reset or just enable POst meta on single page

I did that before posting the question. I think it is somehow related to the latest version of VC that I used (I upgraded the one that comes with the theme) I reverted back to the original one, looks better now – will keep you posted
June 12, 2015 at 17:47 #62398AbeKeymasterand your issue is related to the fact that you have a page: http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/
and a post: http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights-2/So please try to inspect a bit your site

I’ve also reset the section settings as you advised, doesn’t help.
It seems pretty bad at the moment – the newly created post still doesn;t show anything: http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/Please help.
ElijahJune 12, 2015 at 17:54 #62406ellosParticipantAnd when you hit preview button on this post it gives 404 error.
June 12, 2015 at 17:55 #62407ellosParticipant‘and your issue is related to the fact that you have a page: http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/

— Are you saying that I cannot have the page and the post with the same name? Thanks.
ElijahJune 12, 2015 at 17:59 #62408ellosParticipantHm…. I created another one http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights-2/
Gave it a different name and it seems to work.
Does that mean that i cannot have pages and posts with the same name? Thanks a lot.
Elijah.June 12, 2015 at 18:00 #62409AbeKeymasterIf you are looking at the page … then I think it is ok if it looks like a page and not a post 🙂 so comparing your page with a post doesn’t make sense
I hope you understand what I mean and where you had a problem. .. so your post is http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights-2/
related to the 404 preview… try to resave permalink or save it as draft first. Can’t be a theme problem since we don’t interfere in that process.

I had a page domain.com/human-rights
I had a post domain.com/human-rights-2I still don’t see why this wouldn’t work.
P.S. In the end of the day I’m not gonna be creating posts and pages with the same name (just needed it for the demo), but I still don’t get where the issue is here. The whole thing seems pretty legit to me 😉
June 13, 2015 at 00:43 #62524AbeKeymasterWell you lost me :))
your initial question was why domain.com/human-rights doesn’t look like a post. It doesn’t since it is a PAGEHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solution---
@ SeventhQueen we do our best to have super happy customers. Thanks for being our customer.June 13, 2015 at 01:13 #62531ellosParticipantMY initial question was ‘why when I create the post it doesn’t work. There were another PAGE wit this same name, ut it doesn’t mean that I can’t tell the post from the page 🙂
In addition, this is what you said:
“and your issue is related to the fact that you have a page: http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/
and a post: http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights-2/”…. which seems that you are implying that if the post and the page have the same name – it would create a problem. (hard to see how (since they have different urls) – but nevertheless, this is how your explanation was read my be.)
We seem to have a communication breakdown, but since the problem mysteriously disappeared we can stop at this point and close the ticket. I hope it won’t reapper, but if it will – I can open a new thread.
Thank for your time.
Elijah.June 13, 2015 at 01:16 #62533AbeKeymasterok Let’s close this but this is what you said
“– this post is from the demo content that I imported: http://highwayliberty.com/unrevealed-shortcodes/ and it looks perfectly ok
– this is the post I created myself – http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/ . As you can see it is different from the one above. No social sharing, no related posts, no metadata on the left side.”And what I am saying that you referred to the page http://highwayliberty.com/human-rights/

— it is not a page, and the link that was provided was pointing to a post. (I deleted it though, but the person wh initially looked at the ticked acknowledged the problem)Bottom line, I’m a bit confused with your replies, bit there is nothing to talk about at the moment since there is nothing that can be replicated.
Overall – thanks for your effort in taking care f it.
June 13, 2015 at 01:19 #62536ellosParticipantOK, looks like it was my fault in explaining it.
But the issue was there nevertheless. If it reappears I will let you know.
Sorry.June 13, 2015 at 01:21 #62537AbeKeymasterOk, glad all is good.
Have a nice weekend
