Hello
I cannot send private messages between members even if the text box is filled with the name. Would you please help me to solve this matter?
Many ThanksAttachments:

September 14, 2015 at 19:26 #77616RaduModeratorHi,
Just put the username of who want to send the message.
If you are connected as friends with that person when you type in the box it will appear an autocomplete with the friend name.
Regards
Radu

Plus the buddypress works with autocomplete, without being necessary to be friend.
Also your theme doesn’t work even if I put the username. Is there a conflict between your theme and buddy press? I want to solve this matter because I bought your theme considering that it will work in that way.
Otherwise I want my money back.
This is the second time when I ask you something and you send me a vague answer. If you don’t solve this matter I will complain to envato market and even the court. I work with other themes support but never happened to meet this problem. Please consider this email very seriously because you can’t answer just like that when your demo presentation shows the opposite. In our romanian law this represent the crime of deceit and I believe you know because you are romanian like me.
Thank you very much!
September 15, 2015 at 16:14 #77810AndreiModeratorHello,
In BuddyPress, by default, using a default wordpress theme, in the compose message page, in the autocomplete dropdown of the “Send To” field will appear only confirmed friends of yours.
Non-friends won’t appear in the dropdown.
This is the default behaviour and in our theme it works in the exact same way.If under your install this doesn’t happen, them maybe you have some other plugins or custom modifications active that might get in conflict with BuddyPress and break the javascript which creates this behaviour.
The answer of my colleague @Radu was straight to the subject and on top of it, it was correct.
Next time you are thinking to make such statement and accuses please double check that your are right. If you are not satisfied of your theme your are free to request a refund from Envato.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Is this a support to argue with in place to solve the matter.
First off all when you present a product people expects to work in that way especially when you say we may have the same demo. If the bought product does not work in that way then you sold a lie. For example how would you feel to buy a car which is presented to have air conditiong and when you used you realise that it even doesn’t have such element.
Second…as a professionist, a real one….do you help me to solve this matter to work as in your demo or shall we argue? I can do that but I have no time for this. So I let you decide solve or refund!
Have a nice day!
September 15, 2015 at 17:20 #77841AndreiModeratorWe always try to help our customers as much as we can, but I don’t know why you keep blaming us when I already told you that the issue is not related to our theme, it might be a conflict between buddypress and other plugins or customisations that you might have added to your site.
Our demo works perfectly and I also made a second test on a local install to be sure everything is ok from our perspective.
In our theme the autocomplete dropdown function works exactly at it does with a default wordpress theme.
In the autocomplete dropdown you will only see your confirmed friends, not all the members of the site.
I can give a closer look at your site to help you identify from where this issue comes but I’ll need you to provide me admin credentials to your wordpress install. Also you can do a check by yourself by deactivating any additional plugins or customisations that you might have activated and which are not directly supported by us. Do that one by one while checking if the issue was resolved.
Your comparison is absolutely irrelevant, and yes we’re not here to argue as well as how we’re not here to have an offensive attitude as you had in your previous posts.
Looking forward.

This is what I wanted really because your theme is so beautiful and I admit that. I really want to have a discussion in order to solve the matter as I stated.
All I want is the same function as in your demo: a user to be able to send message to anyone, without being necessary to be a friend
I put a print screen in order to be more explicit.
Thank you for your time!

That way his name will be set in the compose message page.
You can as well go directly to your compose message page and write to a non-friend, but you’ll have to exactly know and type his username, because non-friends won’t be shown in the autocomplete dropdown.
In this case as well, it’s the default buddypress behaviour and it’s nothing related to the theme.
Please let me know if I made myself clear with this explication or if you need any more help with it.Cheers

I always referred to that part. This part doesn’t work. In your demo theme you can click on send message from the directory member and as you said it goes to the user profile page where the name is set by autocomplete.
I will try to deactivate all the plugins and try again as you said. If it doesn’t work..I will offer you the credentials of my account in order to see what is the problem.
Thank you again!
