ParticipantI want users to be able to create both public and private posts. This works well, and I have a user role (“self-builder”) set to allow logged in users to see the private posts.
However, when using an element, such as the Kleo Posts element, even though a user is logged in, they are only shown a list of public posts. (see http://www.theselfbuildvillage.com/posts-for-members as an example).
Interestingly, when viewing the main posts page (see http://www.theselfbuildvillage.com/posts), the logged in users do see the private posts listed. This is what I want to happen in the example above.
The same thing happens in other elements (such as ‘latest posts’), the search results, and the buddypress activity feed for example.
Is there a way around this?

ModeratorHi,
Just let me know if you de-activate the child theme and rest of the plugins except visual composer and k-elements you encounter the same.
IF you encounter the same I think it’s a normal behavior of WordPress according to the Codex
https://codex.wordpress.org/Content_Visibility
If you want to have posts that should be visible only to a certain member, I recommend you to use PMPRO and when to write a post check the membership that needs to have it to can read it.
This will require pmpro plugin to be installed.
Cheers
