problem

When people log onto my site it creates a profile for them. If they login from facebook intergration it creates an entirely different profile for them. Alot of my members are confused because they have two totally different profiles depending how they logon.

Hi, if they use the same email address when registering on your site and on Facebook the when they log in with facebook it will just link their profiles.

I hear you but people are having two profiles sometimes and when they try and register it is giving them a 404

When they register and it tells them to activate their email it takes them to Error 404 – Page not found

If you are talking about the regular BP registration then make sure all your pages are mapped in WP admin – Settings – BuddyPress – Settings, especially the Activate page.
Also try to re-save permalinks.
