Hi,
When a user writes a long message to another user, and forget to mention a subject, the page is reloaded with the error message that tells him to mention the subject of the discussion.
The problem is that on the reloaded page, the recipient and the text are removed. So the user has to reload the user profile to rewrite his message…
Is there a way to remove subject and recipient fields (as it’s not necessary in a dating website), or alternatively keep data after reload?
Thanks!
August 5, 2018 at 21:31 #205496Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I will refer this ticket to one of our developers to see if the loss of data on refresh is coming from BuddyPress or the theme.
Both recipient and subject are required fields in BuddyPress messaging and cannot be disabled.
Someone will be in touch with you as soon as they can, Monday to Friday, East European Time.
Thank you for your patience,
Kieran

On the demo theme, the message is saving, but not the recipent.
On my install, both message and recipient are not saving.
Which default BuddyPress theme do you want me to try?
